i have never seen a u.s. stock copy of "dont call it love" so it has to be very rare-i do have a canadian stock copy & it has "christian" as the b-side-which was also released in the u.s. as a promo 45-ron released so many singles under many diff name-dating back to his first one in 1964 called "funny"-also very hard to find- in 1965 he was part of the detergents w/ the top 10 hit "leader of the laundromat"then onto more chart success w/the archies, cufflinks & he produced 10 barry manilow lps
....It's NOT from 1969, (....released 1973) & its not Northern soul, it's pure pop!! RON DANTE is FABULOUS!! Why, oh why wasn't this beautiful pop gem a HIT??!! I have mostly all of Ron's singles, including his mid 60's singles on Columbia records, "Think" & I'll Give You Things'. "Let Me Bring You Up" (on RCA from the 70's) is also amazing. *****STARS out of 5!! Peace Gary in PA USA.
i had a promo copy of this that i got from wnbc 66 am in 1973 from the late great big wilson. one side was stereo for fm 97.1 (the rock pile) (if any one remembers i will be absolutely astonished) and one side was mono for am 66. so i dont even know what the b side would have been. rip big wilson!!! you were a great guy
Yes, I've heard that rumour. And it will remain a mystery. Ron Dante recorded other songs with his own name back in 1973 when "Don't Call it Love" was released.

I'm lead to believe Bo Cooper was actually Ron Dante who is credited with this record along with Barry Manilow.
