Linda and Richard got the better dating location, San Francisco, while poor Karen got stuck with Roanoke, VA.

I think it's kind of strange, Karen's date turned out to have the same name, as one of their drummers, Jim Anthony. Richard looked about as uncomfortable as they come, and as from one of the other comments on here, standoffish. But, at the same time, I love seeing any old clips of the Carpenters, since I never saw much on them when I was younger.

@turquoise770 The "incest" rumors are ridiculous- as for insights on why Karen's problem happened, read the biography "Little Girl Blue." As for not wanting to be on the Dating Game- she probably didn't. I wouldn't either- did you see those guys? Creeeeepy!

You could tell so much from their body lanuage, neither Karen nor Richard seem to be too interested, which makes you wonder, why did they attent the show in the first place? Oh publicity, and did they ready need it in the first place? I actually felt sorry for Richard's date he was so stand offishes and uneasy. Well, anyways they were beautiful, both of them.
