But you can route any row in SONAR's Matrix to any track which P5 could not do, so WIN. :-)

hey, i'm using sonar 8.5 with my external hard drive. when i hit play, it keeps loading from my hard drive before starting so there a lengthy delay....
any help with that?

You really shouldn't be playing some song that isn't part of the project in these clips. It just makes it more confusing. Maybe at the beginning or the end but there is no reason to play it just to mask the silence or while the speaker is speaking.

I have been using cakewalk since the mid 1990s. Ableton live and FL Studio used much of the developments that evolved from early releases of Cakewalk,Cubase,Logic, Mastertrackpro, and protools. The innovations by Ableton have now been absorbed into Sonar and the others.

Wonder what Ableton has to say about this!

i agree

You should show us how we could set it up to get to that point, and what hardware we need, etc, that would be great...

@Simbanyamfukudza01 Check your soundcard & driver settings. Make sure your input & output are selected within the Options tabs and on the track you are recording to. What interface are you using?

Lame Ableton Live clone.

The Matrix view was actually built off of Cakewalk's own drum programmer & performance tool, Project 5.
