Nero, beautiful german shepherd, Full-HD.wmv

Nero was found in a police dog training center near Frankfurt/Germany, probably released there from a woman with children, who just couldn't cope with it any more, since he is very dominant and got too big and naughty (about 8 month old). The police had no use ( because no papers?) for the dog, he was deliverd to an animal pension and later advertised via TV. My parents saw the TV show and we went in August 2008 to check, how he is mentaly, but he made a very trustful, relaxed, selfconfident impression to me (a stranger), obviously never made bad experiences with humans. So I advised my parents take him, although in my opinion too big (then 10 month old and already 40 kg, shoulder high 68 cm, now ).
Meanwhile he is 3 years, about 45 kg and 70 cm high, he knows what he can and what not to do and follows and behabes quite good. We can not imagine our life without him!

Of course, everybody likes his dog and considers it the most beautiful, but I never saw one of these old, origianal style, who came close, not in books, TV or internet.

Beautiful dog! I grew up with two German Shepherds and I miss them terribly (our family has a Maltese now-cute, but not quite the same level of companionship). Great job catching the dignity yet ("personableness"?)playfulness that sets this breed apart!
