I had never thought about the screen magnetic field. You're maybe right, even though I do not see any particular problem. =)
About position tracking, since I was mainly interested on outdoors applications, I used a GPS as a complimentary sensor.

your screen's magnetic field is the problem. anyway axis roration sensing is the easy part. i'm working on position tracking, and hope to upload videos soon. please what is that music?
