well when you turn the variable spin down from 1000 to 900, it does slow down 100rpm. so it must be straight upto 1000 followed by the 1200 burst.

actualy on long it is 900rpm going up to a 30sec 1200rpm burst. if the spin is at 1000rpm it gose strate up to 1000rpm. iv'e had both the later version of this wd64 and the same version but the basic version of this model wd61.

yeah, for a new (ish) model it still has the old hotpoint sound like the 80's ones lol. my ultima is completely different, its a super silent. will get more vids up soon
