This is a great song off of Marty Stuart's 2010 album "Ghost Train: The Studio B Sessions". It was written by Marty and my hero Ralph Mooney, and they were backed by Marty's band, The Fabulous Superlatives.
The song was written in the same vein as Waylon's Jennings' "Rainy Day Woman".
I did my best to keep the arrangement the same as Marty's. This is honestly not my best performance on any of the instruments, especially vocals, nor my best job mixing, but I feel obliged to share it out of my love of Ralph Mooney.
Interestingly enough, there were videos on the internet of Marty performing this song near the start of 2010, and I was gigging with this song before Marty even released "Ghost Train"! The same goes for the songs "Branded" and "Country Boy Rock & Roll".
