The constitution has no reference to god, religion, Christianity, or Jesus Christ. Contrary to Barton, THIS is the best evidence we are a beautiful, completely secular nation. A nation of primarily Christians, but in no way a Christian nation.

If one is going to claim that The united states was founded as a christian nation, one shouldn't use documents from generations before it's founding. One should use legal documents such as the constitution or the treaty of Tripoli.

@starscreamdkmo Okay then we should bring back the position of deism. I think it morphed into atheism. But some of us do believe in a creator and are otherwise sort of athiest in our positions. I agree with you about religion. It is rather silly to follow someone elses dogma. I have had friends who referred to themselves as ''I'' when they stated a position and then after they became Christian they referred to themselves as ''We'' as in We believe this or that.
