  • This defines the word 'beautiful'! I'm amazed how some of the great violin compositions sound so 'right' on flute (at least on flute played by Sir James Galway!): I'm thinking of this one, also Liebesfreud, Schon Rosmarin. Perhaps it's because Sir James = the Kreisler of the flute.

  • Thanks for your wonderful comment. Sir Galway is an important factor, I agree :-) But there is something about the flute, isn't there.

Mr. Galway is one of my favorite artists. His music is so inspiring to me.

  • I really enjoyed the photos . How did you do this?

    Sir James,

    At home,

  • Thanks for writing! There is a program called "Windows Movie Maker" that comes with Windows XP. I am still learning how to use it :-)

  • i have always loved this beautiful musical masterpiece...thanks, sunsong23...:)

  • God this must just depresses me! Well not the music i suppose just the fact that I cant play anywhere next or near like this!!!!

  • @Sunsong23

They say that the sound that the flute produces is the closest to the human voice. because of the structure of it, it does not process the air (like the most brass and woodwinds), therefore the sound comes out pure with no distortion... Those frequencies that the flute and some say the HARP produce easily stimulate a part of the cortex , their resonance can calm directly the human brain. I think this is partially scientifically proven. Can't tell for sure you should check it out!

  • yOU ARE A BEST

  • the only high rated video with no apparent dislike~

  • Este flautista é divino!

    Deus o abençõe, sempre!

  • Este flautista é divino!

  • As far as i can see it may not really matter the instument used. It's the music thats so . . . . . it's hard to express in words. There are many pieces of music that lend themself to cross instrument interpretation. Gounods St cecilia mass comes to mind immediately
