Keyboard version of 10cc I'm not in Love.

I couldn't figure out how to finish this track, so I turned the effects off one at a time; then I thought it might be good to turn them on one at a time at the beginning.

The start is straight piano, followed by cathedral reverb, followed by phased electric piano, followed by strings followed by voice.

  • Absolute right on about the padding. Very few player I have met have used this in their arrangements on solo piano smartly like you have.. I hope you are able to get your arrangements published Paul, so many players whom have not developed their ear and are constricted by the state of most pop sheet music out there, could really benefit from you. As an advanced player, it would also make my job faster to follow your arrangements along with watching and hearing you play it on You Tube.

  • @1957Nero Thank you. I would happily put the time in to get high quality sheets together of more songs. The song owners were the blockage in most cases. It's a shame because nobody wins.

  • Classic song with great melody and heart. You did not lose a bit of it in your playing Paul. I am subscribing now...first time I have found a player I wanted to subscribe to on You Tube. Great stuff...love the padding of the strings under the piano was a favorite of mine when years ago live, used an Ensonique Grand patch and Korg string patch midi'd up. Rich sounding. I have a Yamaha Grand now with built in disk player and use string pads under the acoustic. Adds such depth...

  • @1957Nero Thank you - and thanks for subscribing. Padding with strings is an effect which doesn't lend itself to every style of piano, but when it does there is real pleasure in piling on the layers to see how massive a sound you can build up.

  • Great cover. Just curious...Why have you tuned your keyboard a half-step upwards?

  • @slimjim77M I think when I first started doing these covers my aim was just to get a good sound and close to the original for minimal effort. I have a preference for the feel of some keys so would play in the easiest key then tune the keyboard to compensate. I don't tend to do that any more though because it seems a lot of people want to follow what I'm playing.

  • This is an amazingly beautiful arrangement. Thank you for sharing!

  • Song writers or the publishers? As long as royalties are paid you would be adding to money in their pocket by fulfilling a market that currently is not being met. Your arrangements are light years ahead of the s%^* put out by other publishers.Likely it is the publishers that are threatened by you not the song writers, because you have a better product. So instead you're forced to give it away and the songwriter loses a potential 'new' market to make royalties from.

  • can you play evergreen?
