Neuroanatomy - The facial nerve is the seventh (VII) of twelve paired cranial nerves. It emerges from the brainstem between the pons and the medulla, and controls the muscles of facial expression, and functions in the conveyance of taste sensations from the anterior two-thirds of the tongue and oral cavity. It also supplies preganglionic parasympathetic fibers to several head and neck ganglia.

Thank you Dr. Najeeb! Am so tempted to sign up for your lectures... the only thing is the cost of the 1+1 year scheme is equivalent to the cost of at least 8 medical textbooks! And to convert from US dollars to Malaysian currency is... jaw dropping. hahah. Will keep in view though. Thanks again for posting these videos. Wish you taught in our university... lectures would have been a lot more interactive and greater emphasis would have been placed on the BASICS first...
