(Check out the Discover Channel's Daily Planet Episode February 15, 2012 for this snow plow's international TV debut.) Having some quiet, clean fun pushing heavy packing snow with my personal snow plow that I built. This shot shows the swivel operation of blade. By using the strong muscles in my legs which are amplified by the vehicle's gearing, I was able to move the snow much easier than by an ordinary shovel. (No back pain!) When moving heavy snow by human power, vehicle momentum is very important. The base vehicle is a pedal kart which I modified by changing its gearing, steering, and seat adjustment. The plow is my design and construction. See 'Pedal Powered Snow Plow' for other views...Designer: Bob Beechy, Ontario, Canada.

  • With gas hitting $4 this year, I could see doing this instead of dumping gas into a tractor that's hard to start in the cold, noisy and expensive to maintain. This is a great item - if it's ever available on the market with other attachments for pulling a trailer hopper - i could do all my yard chores with this and leave the mowing to my rotary.

  • @Crushdunderfoot Actually, that was my motivation for creating it! I already have a salt/sand spreader for the rear. I'm working on a lawn mower and sweeper attachment for it.

  • need to put at least a 3 speed, what happens when the snow gets too deep? a lower gear would make it easier to push it, and a higher gear would make it easier to get around (like getting to the snow that needs to be plowed. great idea, never thought of that before

  • Aleee dziadostwo!! Jeszcze na Pedały:D!!

  • @MrGopherhead If it were, he would have to pay IMPORT taxes - this is ALL CANADIAN - besides - I don't really think anyone in the US government is smart enough to give people JOBS, a sense of accomplishment, AND an improved fitness level...

  • ALSO... did you say you wanted to SELL your designs - WOW what CANADIAN company in their RIGHT MIND would not want to buy you out for MILLIONS... AND hire you as THEIR Guru!!!

OMG - YOU just GRADUATED from College didn't you.... You are SO going to get MASSIVE job offers from all over the world with this!

  • I saw you on the internet - I went to the DAILY PLANET web site, went to the VIDEO link, and found the show for Feb 15th - You created these BEFORE you graduated from Mechanical Tech a few months ago - So you figured out all the angles and connections and geometry and stuff before you actually KNEW what they were???

And the painting and welding and finish work... you really take a job through to the end.

Good looking too.... TELL me your not MARRIED or GAY :) hubba-hubba!
