  • There's a cool version of this transcribed by R. Nakagawa that combines snippets of Beethoven's 4th and actual bassoonists singing!

  • Is that the one in Steve Dibner's box of goodies that he won't let anybody copy, but pulls out once per summer to let people hear how great Nakagawa is?

  • Do you have the notes to the melody by any chance?

  • @Doctahsales1 No, that's "My Melody Book" It's out of print, but that doesn't stop him from sharing the love. =(

  • everyone should do this even though bassoons arent supposed to play outside since like the reed is sensitive to humidity and stuff and its made of would and all that jazz..yeah

  • sounds awesome

  • ". . . I'm awfully fond of you!" Bassoon quartets, that is. NICE!

  • Probably. We use Phil Gottling's copy here. It's fun to perform because you can tailor the lyrics to the situation... and having an actual Rubber Duckie prop helps, too!

  • ohh yeaah ahhaha

  • That's exactly what I was thinking. She's very sensual when she moves. I mean, that's not distracting or anything...
