  • Nice informative video, but Danny Carey usually uses the pedal for his hats during polyrhythms, making them much harder in my opinion.

  • @jamesdrummerman Yeah, and I know which song you're talking about too. That groove where the hi-Hat opens every third sixteenth note. Carey is a beast! Thanks for your input :)

  • Great Video - You provided great and useful examples, explained it well and make great use of visuals. This is how I started to understanding many types of polyrhythms, metric modulations. Learning to read music and notation is something all drummer should take time to learn. Great Job.

  • Thank you very much @bsrpdrumstudio

  • thanks for this

  • Ha it's so weird how you use your left to play the kick, great drumming nonetheless

  • great video thank u for sharing with us!

  • Thanks for ignoring my irritating voice @Str8Faced and just focusing on the content. This video makes me cringe like an embarrassed parent at a teacher/parent evening unfortunately :/

  • Thank you @mletalien, I kind of cringe when listening back to this video now though. I have to admit that my voice is kind of irritating. I like to think that my videos have got a little bit better since though...hopefully! :D

  • You're very welcome @DavidGardea!
