i didn't know Tonya Pinkins appeared on ATWT! This actually wasn't much before she was Livia Frye on AMC (started in 1990 I believe)...

Actually Don MacLaughlin was 79 when he died but close enough to 80. He was so frail in those final months and years. You could tell he knew he didn't have long, that's why he was so emotional.
