Burglar Spends Two Hours in Bathroom Ceiling

The University Place restaurant Captain Nemos was burglarized Saturday morning by a suspect who hid in the drop ceiling right before closing time. After everyone had left, the suspect emerged and stole over 5,000 dollars from the safe. The suspect may have left their hat behind in the parking lot.

Knowing it was an inside job, and being able to prove who it was are two entirely different issues. Even small bars tend to have many different employees. This sounds like a larger bar so they only have how many suspects ? Not to mention ex employees !

He def has knowledge of how the store is run. He knew that the bathroom was adjacent to the bar, and where the safe was located. Not to mention it only took him 5 seconds to empty it. And its very sloppy of him to drop his hat.

Clearly an inside job. The guy somehow knows just how to get to the safe, somehow knows it will be open. One of the restaurant employees obviously is in on this, someone who had the ability to leave the safe open.
