what happens if i want to play it on the go, but dont have the portal? can u still play? or just with the last uploaded characters?

You can still play on the 3DS, but ONLY with the figures that you have last put in with the portal. The portal is only used for changing figures.

the ps3 ,xbox360 and wii version is WAY better the skylanders can't jump but there is a lot of problem solving which is awesome and the fighting is way better

on the console version you can't jump and there is a different story line and bad guy. (Kaos)
