  • how you make pass from traffic?

  • Did they just packet sniff their wifi router for the conference and steal all the passwords as a joke?

  • @ross817 It's not that hard,... I have setup a ssh server at home and tunnel all my traffic through that, just because I'm too lazy to set up a VPN :-) TOR is OK too, except when you need some speed,...

  • @stylesuxx23 That sounds like a huge amount of work just to be safe from MITM. I'm thinking of just using my TOR browser whenever I'm on public WiFi. (I'm assuming that all LAN traffic that TOR generates is encrypted.)

But thanks for the tip and I'll definitely consider it.

  • @ross817 dyndns?

  • I've really gotta set up a VPN. But then I'd need to figure out some way to keep track of my dynamic IP address...

    Any tips, anyone?

  • @spacehelmetforacow oh so they use some sort of program that reads the wi-fi traffic ang gets these usernames and passwords. nice.

  • @super3slug this is what happens to your name and passwords if you use defcons WiFi without protecting your computer.

  • wait what is this? sheep? how did you get there passwords? is this a hack? or what? explain in detail

  • This is one of the reasons why I would be afraid to go to defcon.. I need to figure a data scramble system xD
