Polar Bear Plunge East Hampton Main Beach

Bigger than ever! January 1, 2012.
Hundreds raced into the icy waters of East Hampton's Main Beach today.
They were YOUNGSTERS, OLDSTERS, a few dogs, and an ARMY OF TEENS.
And it was "Freezin' for a Reason" as EH HS sophomore Victor Rodriguez put it: donations benefit the East Hampton Food Pantry.
All parking spaces "and maybe parking spaces" were gone about an hour before the 1 pm countdown.
