@b70002 A friend's house built in the 1920's had one in New Orleans. A lot of what one thinks of as "industrial" fans were used in homes, usually in windows, when I was growing up in New Orleans. Look up "Reed Unit Fan": belt drive, almost all used in homes as well as shops/restaurants.

I have a 16" working ilg ventilation fan similar to this one. How much do these usually go for? I may be looking to sell.

Damn, thats 1 hell of a fart fan.

did you ever do anything with it? i would make a wood frame and use it as a box fan! it just looks so cool!
I can't believe how quiet that fan is... All exhaust fans should be that quiet!
And the previous owner tossed it, likely replacing it with a POS made in China.

Actually I think the house is being torn down. THey were gutting it after it flooded in Katrina and thankfully the fan was mounted high above the back door and was 100% spared.

Not likely; This thing probably came out of a commercial installation.

Actually Ilgair fans were marketed for households. Came in exhaust, transom, and thru-the-wall styles.
