Grishuk & Platov 1996 Worlds Paso Doble OD

They've done better OD's throughout their career (in my opinion anyways) but they skated this with a ton of confidence and attack.

While it was clearly skated to music that is traditional for the Paso Doble, I could not recognize it AS the Paso Doble. I've never seen the Paso done with the woman putting her skate up on the man's shoulders, and that's just for starters. What they did was well done, but sadly, did not resemble the Paso Doble I've known for over 35 years.

Interesting that you insinuate this is one of their weaker OD's. This is actually my favorite OD from this couple. Only Oksana (Pascha) and Evgeny could pull this off.

This isn't a patch on Torvill and Dean's Paso. Just as TnDs Rhumba was also much better. When they dance the same style there can be only one Gold standard.
