You hardcore preppers will probley just make fun of me but i've got not intention of growing/rasing my food. I'll stock up on MREs and dried food.

@FixWithFirepower Probably if you have enough money and enough space to store it MRE's and dried food can be a perfect solution. The average life expectancy in the US is 76 years. Just subtract your current age. And take off 5 years to account for the damage that those things will do to your body, and you can purchase exactly what you need. With no waste.

@MrJERICHOJIM I have trained over a hundred roosters to stop crowing in the coarse of my lifetime. It involves a tree lopper and a pot of really hot water.

@adamfurstman Chicken tastes like chicken. Hawk tastes like pot roast. Don't get me wrong, I love chicken, but it is nice to have something different every now and then. And..... if cops still have the urge to arrest people for arbitrary laws after the appocalypse, my dog will be more than happy to find out what cops taste like.

@Jatz071 i ain never heard that term but a few times "bib and brace" and i dont even remember what kind of overhauls it was. i am welcome to education but i honestly do not remember the style. i hope we aint none of us nekked anytime soon but if your behind is shining, i will cover it (unless it is warm weather and you a good looking female, lol). but seriously: PLEASE? for real, jatz071, it is really educational. that is if you consider the current "educational" system. this is free.

@thenworhemity1 Do you think he should consider a weaving loom to replace those bib and brace overalls when its fat arse fially pushes itself through the backside.....even if he was the last man standing and went around naked...one should still consider the poor wildlife have to gaze upon his nakedness....well just an opinion.

@FixWithFirepower i really like K and C and MRE rations. the guv spent lots of money. what i like about this guy is his study of making/obtaining useable water to go with the dried food. i do like the mre idea. it will augment the overall plan and it never hurts to cover ALL bets. i read something in a bible one time that you never know what will be best "either this or that". it went on to say keep your butt at WORK. good advice for me. thanks, enjoy the ride.

@Jatz071 you got me by the short hairs. why would a hillbilly NOT want to be with his chosen deity? i do not know. i been doing some post graduate studies on such issues. religion is such a complicated social issue you could have 500 theses filed with the library of congress and not bulge the sides. i am interested in the chickens and the hydrology provided by sust&cover. it is really comprehensive. thanks.

@FixWithFirepower i actually like your idea. in the end, army food is at least, nourishing and for the most part tastes pretty good, need clean water also. keep that in mind. i actually liked c and k rations. personal preference. would rather have collard greens and ham hocks. BUT whatever is good to eat. best to you.

@thenworhemity1 People from outside the US are for the most part just as ruined as us, but I find that they still have a much better understanding of what is going on, as well as what is about to happen. They also have a much better understanding of the natural world and their place in it. When a westerner leaves a lowes with a plant it is usually a poisonous azalea or something like that. When an asian or hispanic person goes out with a plant it is usually a fruit tree.
