This is a recording the song, "Number 6841" by The Hamster Alliance being played in Jeskola Buzz Tracker. What you're seeing is the sequencer in the background with all the patterns playing and a mixer on the bottom half of the screen.

I solo and mute the various sounds throughout the video so you can hear all the separate parts doing their thing.

So yeah, this is what music looks like when you're producing in Buzz - kind of plain and not as interesting as some of the other programs out there with fancy graphics.

If you'd like to download an mp3 of the song to hear it at a higher quality and without all the modifications made in the video, go here: http://www.hamsteralliance.com/

  • Oh, but I forgot to mention. I actually don't have ezmuze yet. Microsoft have "locked" my purchasing ability. So I have to call them and get my account reactivated. :\

  • my gamertag is the same as my username here. :)

  • ok when i get my new pc ill give it a try.

also if ur intrested id like your oppinion on a song i made in ezmuze could i get ur gt?

  • FL Studio is a good choice. Also Reason is good. Both of those come with lots of synth presets and samples. They're very self-contained and music ready.

Give Buzz a shot tho. It's a rewarding program to use once you get a hang of it.

  • since it is complicated what would you recommend for a novice

  • Kind of. Buzz comes with a lot of synthesizers and effects. The synths have some presets too. So you can link the synths with the effects and make sounds like these, but it's a bit more complex than most music programs.

The drums are not part of Buzz. Buzz doesn't come with any samples.

  • Buzz Tracker is freeware. It's also pretty complicated and unintuitive as far as music software goes. Watch the BUZZ 101 video on my youtube page to see if it all makes sense to you. :)

There are a few commercial plugins used in this song: Whitenoise ZeroVector and Voxengo Elephant mainly. About $100 in cost. Not too bad. :)

  • also are all of those sounds in the program to begin with or not.

  • how complicated is this software and how much does it cost?
