Susan Carpenter has a look at the E-Tracer, the all-electric X-Prize-winning "cabin motorcycle" that averages 205.3 miles per gallon equivalent and can reach a top speed of 200 mph. Looks cool, only one problem: 200 miles or so then stop for 14 hours to recharge at a 220vac outlet, 34hr at 120vac outlet. It takes me less than 5 min to fill up my 5.5gal tank on my bike, and my end of the month electric bill isn't $12,000.00. Good idea, just isn't there yet.
