ha ha ha , alright this is not going to go on the video, ah theres our first wetness frank...i will try and pull this crossmember off now. This is were the fun beggins now. Take my half inch, phillips.. with your phillips screwdriver theres 2 screws at the back of this extension housing. You need to pull the screws off, remove the little plate.. and under there you will find a circlip.
I dont know if you can see that Frank? Can you see that little circlip in there?
There is a circlip in there, so you just open up the circlip..and then the outputshft can just drop down.
Pull my speedo out. For those who are rebuilding for the first time, or havnt got much experience.. now for example , now when i pull out all my exctension housing bolts i leave them in a pile and i just put them here. So when i come back to that section i know its all there waiting for me to go back on. Pull the speedo out, there is 3 to 4 different ways which you can put the speedo in, there is only one correct way, depends what size speedo gear you have.

  • Do you sell dvds on this. I've got 2 4x4 727 's I would love to know how to rebuild myself.

  • @1967800,

once we upload all this series of videos, we will be releasing a dvd showing the complete rebuild from start to end.

    Peter

  • I am pleased to hear that i helped you save some dough.

We are currently sorting out some sound issues we had with the rest of the videos. Our aim is to upload 1 video per week if not more of our many detailed videos on how to rebuilt a 600 h/p torquflite transmission.

I hope you get something out of our future videos going live very soon.

    Peter.

  • What is that at the beginning, is it a sort of dollie or cart or whatever that's built to hold and transport transmissions? I need one of those, I just carry mine by myself...

  • @1967800 get the 727 handbook by Carl Munroe

  • Bud do ya think you could slam the shit a little harder on the table, we all know your working.

  • Great video! To have the 727 rebuilt in Lincoln, Nebraska costs 500-900 dollars- u saved be a bundle! Thanks.
