1 more thing Ron ..black ppl r not the only race with a "month" for recognition of our heritage. Hispanic Heritage Month is from September 15 to October 15 & is celebrated throughout October. And Eddie Griffin (a black comedian) was recently boycotted for his use of the N-word. (& i know u remember the steam roller over the rap CD's) Did it stop? No. But dont speak as if all blacks condone the use of the word by other blacks. U make yourself less relevant when what u say is inaccurate.

I can only speak on what my knowledge is & what my experiences are. I never claim to know all. I just state my opinions. I know that all blacks do not tolerate that word even when spoken by other blacks. It is degrading! Look at or listen to some old Richard Pryor & how he eventually caught on that it was in fact his own race that was holding each other down & disrespecting each other by using that word. I didn't know about Hispanic Heritage month so thanks for the knowledge. :-)

& Jolex, just an opinion ..I didnt see where Ron was being antagonistic or belligerent toward you ..but I'm reading where ur re: his comments as "the stupidest thing u've ever heard", & such  ..I think you have a man here who's of an open heart & mind ..there's no need to disrespect him! He's telling you what he believes ..don't you wanna know? Be careful not to cut off communication ..if ur sincere about progression.

Thanks for all the comments, my friend. I've been in the entertainment business since 1989 & have mostly kept to myself when it came to the double standards that have gotten stronger & stronger. I've been best friends with blacks while also watching others live the profiled life that a lot of blacks have which sadly is violence, drugs, no respect for others etc. Whites are just as guilty if not equal to those same things.

But black people do have opportunities ..my father taught me not to complain but to work hard to make things better ..so thats what I do. But I can still (third eye) SEE! But I also see ppl like RowdyRon who's hearts I believe to be in the right place. I'm with you brother & peace to Rolex as well! PS ..if it matters, I'm black!

Blacks have tons of opportunities but u must admit that a lot of them try to take advantage of the whole race card. It seems more now than ever that there are people trying to get money for supposed racial comments said by white people that are the SAME comments that blacks make about themselves. Again, to me that is a double standard. Racism will always exist because there will always be those people out there. Again, I thank u for your comments! :-)

White people (white Americans that is; I've been around a good deal of non-American whites...they're a completely different breed -I.E. not inbred) still don't get it. The fact is, they're not suppose to. I was told it's something about their eyes being to close together or something...

I think everyone as a society, whites blacks and the rest, has lost sight of what matters. Being racist and being oversensitive to racism is basically the same thing. We have to understand we are all the same and race is only really a perspective and a label that holds equality back. If we let ourselves be moved by racism then we are agreeing that we are different and separate. That is what is wrong with this whole debacle and every other race fight.
