  • Only the infirm should be exposed to WBV training, research doesn’t really support benefits for those who are in shape. The people that are trying to push these ineffective and expensive gimmicks on the public will invoke the meaningless jargon that they alone have developed with regard to the science behind the WBV fad.

  • In the May 2007 edition of the (NSCA) Journal of Strength and Conditioning Research, there are 4 studies that deal with the effects of WBV, the results of these studies do little to further the claims that this mode of training is effective. These studies will serve to expose it as consumers see how ineffective it is.

  • Why don’t ALL professional athletes do this?

    They could stand on the machine for half an hour and have the same benefit of many hours of training? The answer is simple, they know that gimmicks like this DO NOT WORK.

  • "The latest results support our idea that the current technology/methods of use of WBVT (standing on a vibrating plate with low force generation in the lower limbs) are unlikely to produce significant improvements in performance in well trained athletes and physically active young subjects, and, even if they do, conventional resistance exercise should still be superior."

  • Please state or post any link to any credible research.. OTHER than "research" provided by the manufacturers and sellers of this device.. If vibration actually worked THAT well it would have been stocked in ever gym across the globe by now..

  • actually there have been 24 university studies that have all concluded this to be very healthy, i do this and it works great, it does not replace cardio, they tell you flat up that it doesnt. so yeh you should still walk and job, but its meant to tone you and it does. you should really do your reasearch before you open your big mouth and spout off information you have no idea about. :)

  • SCAM! Buy a good pair of runners, get off the sofa, and save your money. There is no credible research to support these claims, NONE.
