This is how you first coat a plastic Adjustable Inside Drywall Corner Bead.

We are using straight mud that has been mixed up, a mud pan and the 5" knife to coat this adjustable inside drywall corner bead.

First thing you want to do is clean up the dry mud that is on the guide (center of bead). Use your knife to scrape it clean, scrape both sides of the center guide, from the top all the way to the bottom. When you first start coating this adjustable inside drywall corner bead, you want to load up the bead with a lot of mud. Put an excessive amount of mud, it will look ugly, but that's ok, we'll clean it up next. Use the guide in the center of the adjustable inside drywall corner bead to guide your knife up and down. once you have alot of mud on, we need to smooth it out running your knife more tight against the center guide. The video shows you excatly how to do it yourself. Don't press to hard on your knife when you smoothing it out, or your adjustable inside drywall corner bead are going to be dish. Once you smooth out one side, you need to clean off the little bit of extra mud that's left over in the guide, or else you'll have a lot of sanding to do. When you got both side smoothed out, then you feather the edges down with your knife for less sanding. Always start with the top, but the mud like to fall down on previously finished work. Once the top of your adjustable inside drywall corner bead is done, its pretty much rinse and repeat for the bottom side.
