Kentucky Heroes - David Jones

The man who designed New York's Central Park, Frederick Law Olmstead, also designed a series of parks in Louisville more than a century ago. Since then, Louisville's parks have become a model for the nation, earning Louisville the title, 'City of Parks.'

David Jones has been a leader in Louisville for decades. Now, David and his family have devoted themselves to 21st Century Parks - an ambitious, long-term initiative to build on the Olmstead legacy with thousands of acres of new parks and protected green spaces.

David's generosity with his time and resources and his tireless commitment to making the vision for 21st Century Parks a reality, make him a true Kentucky hero.
