The Myasishchev M-4 Molot (Russian: Молот (Hammer), USAF/DoD reporting name "Type 37", NATO reporting name 'Bison'.) is a four-engined strategic bomber designed by Vladimir Myasishchev and manufactured by the Soviet Union in the 1950s to provide a bomber capable of attacking targets in North America. The Myasishchev design bureau was formed to build such a bomber.

  • Russian aviashein very super, USA take very big udar and very big pizdi, esli napadet na nas!...

  • Only problem is, the range wasn't long enough.

  • Great looking Soviet bomber (Bison). Too bad it wasn't as successful as it was hoped to be.

  • @vonkaunaz They mean that techonolgy had moved on so much, and situations had changed. By the time engineers had sorted the plane, they were needing something better.

  • What a load of crap these documentaries can be:

"it was obselete by the time it entered service" (???!!!!)

Incredible that they say such things in what is suppossed to be a "serious" production: the Bison certainly could not fly to the U.S. and back but it was not "obsolete" at all as jet bomber.
