I a sense, yes, lions design zebras and cheetahs and gazelles 'make' each other faster. But there is no deciding here, just the fact of common descent and the force of selection on random mutations is INDEED enough to account for all living species. Creationists are to evolutionary biologists as a mosquito is to an air force pilot.
