  • I used the original frame hangers for pipes and made the one to hold muffler like a crossmember and welded it tight to muffler so it dont slide and rub threw muffler. The muffler is a single chamber with a flow splitter 1/2 whay threw to get flow rolling and crashing into itself before exiting muffler to twin exits pipes. 2.5" single in 2.5" double out. Factory exit pipes are only 2".

  • how did you install the exhaust, i have an avenger r/t andd they dont make kits, was it lots of hard work?

  • I custom build it from at the rear cross member all the way back. The pipes, hangers and muffler and all. About a week of designing on pipes and another week designing the mufflers interior and size. total time 1 day to build and 1/2 hour to weld in.

  • LOL Well I guess you don't know R/T Avengers. I did have it in nuetral for most but the rev limiter stops them from reving at 4K and the 3.5L run so lean they hanges up and settle slow. So I put in drive for a loaded rev. If you lissoned you can hear me pull it into gear and out.

  • Had. I don't own it anymore. We have a Chrysler 200 now. ;)

  • Sounds like you have the same throttle lag as I do on my 3.5L R.T with custom exhaust. Wish there was something we could do about it.

  • I custom build my own muffler. I worked in a shop when I build it. From rear tires back the system was fully custom. Can't buy any of it. It was a proto type. When it got bad I was going to take my drawings in to a S.S. shop and have it made out of S.S.

  • which muffler did you buy because that is the sound i was looking to get with my r/t avenger

  • That sounds exactly like straight pipes...
