Yes, it is an acoustic guitar. Both the nylon stringed classical guitar and the western guitar, with steel strings, are acoustic guitars by definition. If you mean 'classical' as in a Spanish or nylon string guitar, then this is it. (I play both nylon and steel, too.) If you mean 'classical' as in classical music, then yes, admittedly, there is a big difference, but a difference of style rather than of musical instrument.

That's a really nice rock sound for a classical guitar! :) I used to play a lot of electric songs on mine, and it didn't sound anywhere near as good.
And, haha, a pick scrape on nylon strings? :P
