Irina's artistic marks were a joke. I like Irina alot but Maria should have had much higher artistic marks. I think Maria's technical marks were too harsh also. Anyway she would have gotten the bronze had she done the last triple loop cleanly, I am sure of it. The judges wanted an excuse to give the medal to Irina, since they always liked Irina and didnt really like Maria.

Well Don Matheson sucks. He is an awful commentator. I hope your country does not have to listen to him every year. Barb I recognize now, she is ok I guess.

Anyway what really cost Maria the bronze was that last triple loop. Had she done that I think she would have gotten the bronze. Since the missed it the judges had an excuse to give to Irina. Even though Irina had that hard fall at the start she ended up with 1 more triple then Maria, many more triple-double combos then Maria.

It was definitely a pity that Maria was just 4th in this event. Slutskaya's triples made her to the podium, but I think her program was far behind Maria's-- which was a masterpiece.
