the family was at the fathers funeral and billie went running home and he locked himself in his room,and when his mom got back she tried to get him to come out but all he said was"wake me up when september ends"

i heard tht when billie's father died, billie ran to his room and started crying....his sister or mom tried to get him out of his room and billie responded "Wake Me Up When September Ends" ...all u people who think green day is fake and are sellouts u can go to hell, green days songs have true and personal meanings and from wht i've noticed "sellout" is just another word for success
