In Celebration of National Health Center Week, U.S. Senator Kay R. Hagan (NC) today keynoted the opening of the new Prospect Hill Community Health Center in Caswell County. The new facility is located next to the original building, which opened in 1970 as North Carolina's first health center, serving just 15 patients a day. Today, the facility serves more than 100 patients daily and is one of 173 community health centers in the state that ensures affordable health care is available to all North Carolina families. Also in attendance was U.S. Congressman Brad Miller, NC Senator Rick Gunn, Representative Bill Faison, Yanceyville Mayor Curtis Davis, Piedmont Health Board Members, and of course, the Piedmont Staff who make this all possible each and every day!
