Richard Thompson playing "When the Spell is Broken" for the On the Music Path iPad app.
The "On the Music Path" iPad app offers carefully structured lessons on how to play the guitar, piano, drums and bass from a star-studded cast of world-renowned musicians, including Jackson Browne, Richard Thompson, Vonda Shepard, Leland Sklar, Steve Ferrone, Ravi Shankar and many others.

The iPad app appears to offer more than just the videos, I see. Nice idea for conveying lessons with tab, video, and stuff combined (no, I don't work for or represent them!). It appears to do more than a DVD - and that technology is going away, fast.
BTW, this song is clearly in regular drop D (DADGBE). Always nice work from RT, easy and effective! One of my favorite songwriters and players.

Why did they not just release this as an instructional dvd or make it available as a download for ALL pc's instead of just iPad ? just trying to increase the sales of ipad's? hmmm makes me wonder, everything's money all the time isn't it? One thing's for sure; i'm not buying an ipad just in order to watch this!

I bought this app and have to say that it's great, if only to hear and see this and three other RT performances: Beeswing, Vincent Black Lightning and the Sun Never Shines on the Poor. His teaching if, of course, first rate.
Highly recommended.
