Geoff Loane Interview

DRLA Executive Director Ky Luu Interviews Geoff Loane Head of Mission for the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) in London. Prior to this posting, Loane held the position of Head of the ICRC Regional Delegation for the United States and Canada for five years. In this capacity, he oversaw ICRC visits to the detention facility in Guantanamo Bay, Cuba, and reported on the treatment of CIA prisoners in Guantanamo Bay and other detention centers around the world. Additionally, Loane has worked in the Balkans, Middle East, and has spent more than a decade in the Horn of Africa during major conflicts including those in Ethiopia, Sudan, Somalia, and Rwanda. He has served as the Head of the Emergency Unit at ICRC headquarters in Geneva.
