I seem to recall this woman on telly when I was a kid in the 70s having a music show and her name was ..something ben toven or something like that I just for the life of mecan not remember ..any offers ..unless I dreamt it
@DaveDaRave1980 Thanks for the heads up on Diane Harris - will google her. A Whitnall-Cohen co-presented programme sounds fun. Whitnall's a bit of an under-rated cultural icon - played Elvis in a musical as a teenager, Angelo in Mike and Angelo oh and... "Time for Teletubbies!"
@barttheanorak That's right, pretty sure she her name was Diane Harris - IIRC she also used to present on the BBC's Open University service in the 70s and 80s. Tim Whitnall (presenting here with Lucie) presented The Music Arcade from 1980 onwards until it was cancelled in 1986, then went on to co-present the replacement series "Into Music" with Jonathan Cohen between 1988 and 1991. "Into Music" wasn't as good as "The Music Arcade" though - perhaps that was the lack of Lucie Skeaping? :-)
@barttheanorak I used to quite fancy Lucy Skeaping when I was young! LOL No idea what hormonal hell I was going through back in the day, but then she was way fitter than Helen Speirs from Music Time!
@DaveDaRave1980 Wasn't there another female presenter round 82? Diane somebody as I recall - she was credited as being 'teacher' rather than 'presenter'.
@barttheanorak Helen Speirs and Jonathan Cohen of Music Time both once presented The Music Arcade as well, and the later series Into Music, you couldn't get away from Helen Speirs on BBC Schools between the late 70s and early 90s...
This was fantastic, loads better than having Helen Speirs pontificate at you over on Music Time (sorry Helen if you're reading this). Got any more where this came from?

No wonder this has been scrapped, utter shite.

The tapping of Lucie Skeaping's booted feet was one of the best things about it ;-)
