@AmelieDemy Hehe, your English is first way above average :)
I might have misunderstood some of the stuff, but i still stand by my opinion that well, no music can objectively be called crap.
-
@swedenxtrem I think I've explained my opinion very well (more than once). Don't misinterpret my comments just because you want to sound correct and have the last saying! Read what I've said again. I'm sure my English is not that bad
-
@AmelieDemy But music that is hear on the radiohead is bad? I hear radiohead, muse and lots of great groups on the radio frequently.
-
@swedenxtrem You misunderstood me. I never said that music that is not heard on the radio is immediately good. Of course not
-
Weeelll, I kinda agree, but still don't.
In my opinion the general radio music is utmost rubbish. But it's a lot more simple, it got no soul, in my opinion. But it does not make it rubbish for everyone else, there is no objective way to put music in a good or bad way.
For example there's pornogrind, that'll never play on the radio(most likely not at least)
Torsofuck is a band who plays that, I don't like it. But it doesn't make it good because it isn't played on the radio :D

@swedenxtrem I agree with everything else you say apart from the last part. I'm one who enjoys many kinds of music and I don't judge something negatively unless I've listened to it lots of times.
When it comes to the music the radio and tv promote it is just rubbish. Two-three notes and lyrics that a baby could write. That's not music to me. A simpler more relaxed form of music? Well, listen to Moby! And I'm not saying all pop is bad. There are some good examples.
-
@AmelieDemy Huh? You know how much can be called as music? The definition for music allows it to well, be quite a lot of different things, what you wouldn't call music could be some other persons favourite kind of music and not wanting to call radioheads music, music.
What is with general radio music is that they use easy to recognize patterns with an standard buildup, which is not brainwashing. It's just a simpler more relaxed form of music.
-
@swedenxtrem I think it makes sense that children in zombiedream's class loved them. Children are more open to different sounds. They still haven't beeen brainwashed by the media and the music they promote (which I'd hardly call music).
I have another example like that. I co-directed a play where children with special needs participated. The play was about water (in an ecological way) and I decided to include radiohead music. Let me tell you... they loved it! They even asked for CD copies.
