@watashiwanachodes I have to agree, this song does not go with this video at all. I love the song this video was intended for, incredibly hauntingly beautiful.

Este cortometraje o videoclip fue creado por los Quay Brothers específicamente para His Name is Alive, no tiene sentido cambiarle la música además de que no aporta nada a la experiencia audiovisual. A mí me gusta The Mars Volta pero esta combinación además de que viola todo derecho de autor e intención original de la animación es un sinsentido.

I do not like this music. And turned the sound off so i could watch the images. I thought, why would they put this music on their images - the two do not go together at all. I was thinking of other music that I thought would go nicely with their work. Then I read your disclaimer. I was right.

nononono i think that his name is alive is just an overall better band and the quays created this video specifically for this song it has a distinctive meaning in their "tentative narrative" style of filmmaking and i just dont see how this is better. its just like two random things put together

nobody said it was better. i would hope it isn't better because thats not the point. i just liked the combination. in my own interpretations they have a good fit. to each his own.
