holy.. did you see the jump the mark had at the beginning, sweet ride man, i got a 95 with a catback exhaust, will be looking into modifying when im older and have more money :)
@windstarpro I anticipate 1.7- 1.8s to be the best I'll see in the naturally aspirated condition it is in now. I know what you're saying. Weight is HUGE. 100# is a tenth and at the track, a tenth is huge.
@paulmasson411 Research? What are you talking about... Im not trying to beat my chest, but I have been around, and around, even with imports. Not that I own any imports!! Anyway, even if the guy managed to get 20hp or so out of it, it wouldn't have made a difference. If he banged when he shifted, he would have been a solid winner.
@MrHotrodlincoln Yeah, thats what they both went over the scales at. Didn't really add anything other than a sub in my gold car. I just figured thats what they all weighed. Could hit it a little harder off the line if I could drop about 500lbs. Factory axles start breaking around 1.55 sec/60ft. That really beats you up when you have to make it up on the top end, good luck then since horse power doesnt go as far with a heavy car!
@windstarpro Interesting. Both of your Mark VIIIs weigh more than mine. You are well beyond the curb weight. Where does the extra weight come in at? Mine weighs 4000# with me in it and a full tank of gas.
Very Nice Cars, Fast. Close racing like that makes it fun. I had a race like that with TM just slower 11.86 to 11.87
