I did a whitewater spree thru that area in the mid 1980's. I remember stopping at a road side park overlooking the Linville Gorge in the middle of the night. We couldnt see a thing but the roar of the water was real. We walked down some trail for quite a while with only a bic lighter looking for any view of the water. Great run.

I've heard that the Linville Gorge is one of the most dangerous runs because of the blind drops and undercut rocks. Beautiful footage!
