London, 2008. In her well-appointed apartment, the elderly former Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher prepares breakfast for her husband Denis, as she has every morning of their married life. It's not until Margaret's personal aide bustles in that we see that Margaret sits at the table alone. Denis is alive only in her imagination.

THE IRON LADY is the story of a woman who came from nowhere to smash through barriers of gender and class to be heard in a male dominated world. It is a film about power and the price that is paid for power, a story that is both unique and universal. So the Iron Lady has died , personally being Welsh and living in Wales she is some what of a hate figure since our heritage was built on our mines and our 80's miners relied on the mines for the living . However to slag someone off on the day that they died I think it uncalled for so with respect and sympathies to her family hated for some loved by others but always remembered

Everyone needs to read both her books "Path to Power" and "Downing Street Years".. all told in extensive detail by Mrs. Thatcher. A great lady who had the decency to wipe away Socialism from England's already troubled Labour Party. This movie inspired me to learn more about her.
