RIPS FED 1st time out, licencing passes and the 1st 2 runs

Here's our new Dragster powered by a RIPS RB30 (182 cubic inch)
I had to do 3 licencing 1/2 passes then 1 gentle test pass, then the next weekend we did just 1 more test pass before it rained. The NZ record for the class (DD/D) is 9.02 so we beat that on both of our first 2 passes, thinmgs are looking good for 7s very shortly. Sorry about the video quality, it'll get better next time :-)

Sounds like you spin almost half way down the track.......Impressive!!!! I LOVE seeing this, even though I love big 8's, probably because I'm American....but I have to say, you guys are showing them up.....I don't like nitro though, the whole idea of blowing a piston every race and or rebuilding just doesn't make sense.....How often do you tear it apart?

@Element7744 The motor did 1 1/2 seasons in our street 240z which ran 7.8s then with an oil change and a set of plugs only it did the whole season in the dragster with a best of 7.26 still with serious traction problems, we pulled the motor down and it was mint except the big ends were showing signs of needing to be changed so we did rings and bearings and its back together now with bigger tyres and alot more wing, shootin for 6s with 2100lb and a 182ci street RB30 on petrol. (no Meth)

@RIPSNZ ever since I ran across your 240z on youtube and other sites, I've become a huge fan of you guys.....keep up the awesome work.....hopefully one day I can have fun like you guys get to do all the time. So when you say big ends, do you mean the bearings or the other end of the rod? When you guys hit 6's, and I say when not if, post up some videos.
