@jovetj That isn't saying much when PRB coal is compared to eastern high-sulfur coal. PRB coal is also lower in BTU than eastern coal so more has to be burned to generate the same amount of electricity, plus the cost and fuel used to transport it.

That puts it well above the price of its competitors

The coal coming out of that mine is a lot "cleaner" and better for the environment than anything else in the world. Do some research.

For the most part, the reclaimed land is indistinguishable from the rest of the area. In fact, due to the efforts to attract wildlife, it is greener and more brimming with plants and animals than the surrounding area. They're really making an effort.
