076 - Metal Gear Solid 4 - Debriefing End

As he becomes gravely ill, Big Boss reflects upon the legacy of The Boss and her intentions. He claims to have, at last, understood the meaning of her actions and the "truth" behind her courage. He gathers every ounce of energy within his dying body to pay his final respects to her and salute her gravesite for one last time -- shortly before succumbing to his death.

His last few moments were spent advicing Snake to carry on with his life as a free man, and to "...see the outside world."

Famous last words: "This is good, isn't it?"

NOTE: If you're a true MGS fan, make sure you have saluted during the appropriate scenes in this touching final scene. (The Boss, and Big Boss' death for me.) ^_^

@ProtecSirius Yes, the body that burned in MGS4 was Solidus, it's just that no-one really knows where Big Boss was actually preserved. But at least there are good reasons why he was still alive at this point in the series.

@ProtecSirius And you do that the reason he survived both those encounters is because in MG1, his body received what is known as cybernetic "Snatcher" implants, which helped reconstruct most of his body, while at the end of MG2, his body WAS recovered again, this time by Eva, and placed under a cryogenic coma, with his genetic code used for the SOP recognition system. His body was then reconstructed using parts of both Liquid and Solidus and was then able to awaken from his coma.

@microfosfuck Kojima never truely said that. He always said that this is the last appearance of Solid Snake, and the ending of his story. It was the media, that interpreted this wrong as "last mgs".
