I have The Univibe and I like It Better. I Don't Know maybe Because it gives That Trower tone.

yea...i like it as well....the univibe circuit gives a "throaty-cavernous" tone....and is very "matchstrike" toned on a stratocaster.
The two aren't ultimately comparable...other than they both were made to emulate the doppling of rotating speakers...but neither sound that way.

Great pedal board with great demonstrations and explanations, oh and nice playing. And I really dig that Octavia fuzz man!!! I've just gotten back into using pedals again thru a tube amp and am loving the sounds and challenges, LOL!!! Curious, what amp are you running the pedal board to?

Thankyou jdc395 ! glad you like it ! Thanks for the comment.
The amp is a Fender DRRI With a nos milspec 12ay7 in the 12ax7 v2 position.(that eases up on the stock preamp brash brights of that drri circuit)
...maybe bass on 5-6, and treb on 4-5. the guitar is a light alder startocaster with heavy-formvar alnico 5 pickups, played without a pick, for a warmer swatty chank tone.
yea..that octavia is utterly smoking !!!

actually..now that you mention it...i go through phases and seasonal moods....and can go for very long periods "straight into the amp".
But yes effects are fun. And can really hone your overall playing ear... if you are willing to take more time, than to step on 10 random factory presets and go.
