  • Just trying to offer some constructive criticism, you seem to have response debating down, you broke it down word for word, but note that evolution is only a theory. Yes, a theory must have substantial, plausible evidence but in the end it is what it is: just a guess. The truth is the bible states it nicely: God says to Job, "were you there when I created the heavens and the Earth? So do not judge what happened in the past." He's saying, whether you believe --- continued in next comment

  • @kuchiki96

    You seem to downsize what a theory is. I don't know about you, but I for one believe in the "Theory" of Gravity among many others that have been well tested and proven true time and time again.

    I don't care what the bible states. I don't use fiction as a source unless I'm debating on the ethics, hypocrisy, and downfalls of Christianity.

    Yeah, because war and murder dealing with religion is really interesting.

  • @MyPaperBleedsInk, Gravity is not a theory, although it was at one time, it was a theory founded by Isaac Newton. However that theory was slightly different than what is a law today. No, a theory is something that HAS NOT BEEN PROVED. If you say gravity has been proven true, which it has, of course, it isn't a theory. The other part where I must disagree is the bible is not fiction. Not everything can be proved by scientific evidence, which is where so many evolutionists get tripped up.

  • @kuchiki96

    Haha..... you obviously haven't been in physics. Gravity is both a theory and a law in certain aspects. There are laws within theory, yes. You know what, go back to school.... or maybe I should just make educational videos on here, would save me time in attempting to explain something in less than 500 characters.

  • I couldn't help but respond.

    a law is an observable fact. a theory is why it happens. the observable fact is "what goes up, must come down" the reason why is "objects with mass attract each other". (abridged)

    the observable fact is that life has variation. the reason why is....you guessed it evolution. (the whole natural selection of random mutations over time).

    a theory gives a mechanism of cause. laws simply state facts.

    theory = understanding

    scientific method FTW

  • @Desertphile please provide evidence for your claim instead of just saying "it would be just as easy as..." that would be like saying evolution is stupid cuase it starts with the letter "e"

  • @ihmen I agree the bible is supposed to be read in hebrew. so much of the meaning is lost in modern translation but to me when you look at what the original meaning is i dont understand how you could believe anything else. and maybe we would be afraid if it wasnt real. but maybe your afraid to admit its reality because you are content with the life you live. party after party. gettin drunk and living a life of debuachery, which the bible says is wrong and which would mean u screwed up.

  • you are right of course.

  • @kuchiki96 no dude, whats going on here is you believe a work of fiction which is not true and you're afraid of the reality of it not being true. you have no idea what a scientific theory is. one of the red flags to tell an ignorant clueless creationist is if they say "only a theory". i grew up in israel, ive read the bible in ancient hebrew (the way it was meant to be read) and when you read it in hebrew its obvious the entire thing is allegory. it is not true, get over it.

  • But this argument of creationism vs. evolution is invalid completely, if you don't take the bible to be true. So I'm not going to try persuade you, (I probably couldn't if I tried), if you believe the bible is fiction. I'll be open to any ideas or debate, but at this point I'll say that I wont be swayed from the bible and I won't convince you, so we've reached an impass. I appreciate the ideas from the opposing viewpoint though, why don't we agree to disagree, on friendly terms? Thanks.

  • --in him or not we will never be able to prove exactly what happened in the past. Personally, I take the Bible as an ABSOLUTE truth, and if it states something directly that's the only way I have proof of what happened in the past. Anything else, such as evolution, which is a man-made theory, therefore imperfect in some form or fashion is not able to be proved, in my book, but that's just me. You're entitled to your own opinion though. If everyone agreed on everything, it would be really boring.
