U.S. Military Defeated in Vietnam: Part 8 -Tet Offensive Clears Way for NVA

In Part 8, Gibson explains how ON PAPER "we won" with our inflated body counts! The Viet Cong had been "killed" several times over--meanwhile several DIVISIONS of the NVA (50, 000+ troops) were occupying large areas of South Vietnam! The 1968 Tet Offensive was designed to kill off the cadre of the VC so when the North took-over they wouldn't have to share power. "We had to destroy the city in order to save it" to root out the VC. Then General Westmoreland requested another 206, 000 mop-up Soldiers to "troop surge"--sound familiar?

Then the mainstream media began putting out stories that the "war was winding down" after the troop surge---sound familiar?
